Jag har snart läst ut del 1 av Harold A. Underhills synnerligen förträffliga ”Plank-on-Frame Models and Scale Masting and Rigging”, varur jag inte kan undanhålla er följande citat, apropå den skeppsratt han, i brist på svarv, filat fram ur ett stycke bakelit från en gammal bilsäkringsdosa (boken skrevs på 50-talet) funnen i skrotlådan: ”Seen through a fog or at a good long range the finished product is not too bad, but it is not a fitting to which one particularly calls attention.
